UMW
Our Mission
The organization of United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. These women, organized in nearly every United Methodist Church, turn faith, hope, and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world.
Our Vision
UMW is all about turning faith, hope, and love into action around the world for women, youth, and children. Our purpose is for fellowship, missions, and education about social issues. Our UMW at First Church emphasize local missions and also shares in our Uwharrie District larger missional efforts.
